| Welcome to the website of South Lakes Model Car Club, we are a small friendly club situated in south Cumbria around Kendal. We race electric 1/10th scale offroad, 1/10th scale Touring Cars all year round and Mardaves in the winter indoor season only. During the winter months we race in a large indoor hall on carpet, the track is usually quite tight. In the summer we rce at a school playground onroad and at our offroad grass track. Race meetings are about every fortnight and we alternate between on and off road in the summer. The Club now has a AMB lap counting system that uses transponder in each car so that lap counting is automatic. The system is far more accurate and easier to use than the older method of using numbers on the cars and counting manually.
